Context

I want to quickly and easily remotely game from my nice gaming desktop while lounging anywhere in the house.

The Problem

Modern machines now support mobile-phone like instant sleep / wake up, but in the process, Wake-on-LAN is no longer supported.

Solution

Artemis + Apollo will handle the virtual display switching automatically, but only has WoL support for a powered down machine. By using the Windows App + Windows 11, Remote Desktop can wake the machine from a sleep state.

This works on an Alienware Area-51 with an RTX 5090 to a Logitech G Cloud or Steamdeck for example.
